The Course Includes:
  • Hands on instruction and demonstrations by masters of the Renaissance tradition
  • Studio space in the historical center of Lucca
  • Visits to important sites in Lucca and its region
  • All weekday lunches and a Farewell Lunch
Independent Travel
  • Saturday afternoon and Sunday are free: rent a bike, take a train to Florence, go to the beach, hike in the mountains around Carrara

FAQ's
Is housing provided?
  • We do not provide housing, but can assist in pointing you to the variety of options—from B&B's to hotels and pilgrimage housing—in and around Lucca
What about travel?
  • While we do not provide transportation to and from Lucca, the city is easily accessible from a variety of nearby international airports (Pisa, Florence, Bologna) via train
  • we do provide travel on our scheduled day trips
What equipment will I need?
  • We provide studio equipment (easels, worktables, seating), fresco materials and brushes; you are responsible for paper, drawing media, and a portfolio; see the list of materials here

Total Cost €2350
A non-refundable €50 charge is required to register* and receive more information about the course; a deposit of €350 toward the total is required by 1 March 2019, and can be refunded up to 75% before 1 May 2019; the balance is due by 1 June 2019
Please  note costs are in Euro; payments can be made via wire transfer (via your bank, Transferwise, Paypal Zoom, etc.)
*The Tuscan Renaissance Academy is a registered Italian cultural association; when you register for our course you will become a temporary associate of the Tuscan Renaissance Academy
